What is concrete?

A concrete slab is a large part of the construction elements of buildings. Concrete slabs are an extremely thick, flat and horizontal concrete layer that is used as a floor, or even as a roof. Concrete slabs, laid directly on the ground or on foundations supporting them and are used to build the ground floor for some residential structures.

Our Concrete Slab Installation Process

Concrete installation is not for those who aren't confident. Port St. Lucie Concrete Contractors follows the strict procedure for installing concrete slabs.

In all our concrete projects security is our first priority. Prior to starting any work, we ensure that we have safety equipment. Eye protection, long sleeves, long pants, rubber boots, gloves and gloves form components of our safety equipment. All of these safeguards protect us from concrete splatters that could cause damage to our health overall and well being.

We strictly follow the steps below as part of the process:

Step 1: Preparation on the spot

We all follow the same procedure, no matter what size project we are working on. The preparation of the site is the first step in all our projects. We tidy up and remove all waste to make it possible for us to begin again. In the process of preparing, all materials must be on-site. We plan the delivery of these items prior to actual work. This helps us start and finish the project in time.

Step 2 Create Concrete Forms, Reinforce Concrete Slab with Stahl

After the site is cleaned and ready, we proceed by putting in concrete forms using wire mesh. Concrete forms are sturdy barriers that help hold concrete mix in place. Concrete forms force concrete mix to assume a certain shape or design. Rebar is a method of strengthening concrete structures that are larger. This allows for stronger concrete surfaces.

Step 3: Mixing Concrete Mix

We employ a concrete truck to help us with our work. It is also useful in ensuring that concrete materials are properly mixed. Sometimes, we do manual mixing. However, most concrete mixers are needed in order to complete projects.

Step 4: Pouring Concrete

After the concrete has been mixed, we immediately put a concrete slab into the forms. It is crucial to do the concrete mix with care to prevent air pockets. Air pockets result from the mortar not being placed over the aggregate. We make sure that the concrete mix is evenly distributed throughout the shape.
